CBN8080 8' x 1.5' 80 Grit CBN Grinding Wheel with 5/8' Arbor (with 1/2' Adapter Sleeve), Tested and Adjusted for Balance

CBN Grinding Wheels are the premium wheel for sharpening tool steel (turning tools, chisels, plane irons, etc). DO NOT use for regular steel or aluminum. These wheels last a lifetime, never lose their shape like a vitrified wheel, and the wide flat surface makes sharpening much easier, especially when working with a jig. Technically speaking, the 8' wheels are 1-9/16' wide. The corner is squared off, and the 3/8' wheel rim is also coated, making an ideal flat surface for sharpening drill bits etc. They are bored at 5/8', and include a 1/2' adapter sleeve for grinders with a 1/2' shaft. These wheels ARE made of Steel, and are HEAVY (approx 8lb ea). This will require an actual 3/4 - 1HP 1800 RPM grinder. If using a grinder will less horsepower, they CAN be used but may require a flick with your hand to get them started. These are well made wheels and have been tested for balance. Any adjustments required for balancing have been made (you may see a small hole in one side which is how they are balanced if required).
